How Tall is a Pyramid?
Answer: As Wide as its Base.
What Does this Have to do with anything.
Well actually its got to do with everything.
In CrossFit To improve you must recognize your weaknesses and for most people unless they come from a strength background that weakness tends to be their strength.
So what should one do?
One Tries to build a large foundation of strength as the base of their pyramid , the wider the pyramid the taller it will be.
But what is the catch....
The catch is not also neglect your conditioning and aerobic capacity.
CrossFit and being good at it, is kind of like this, its spinning 5 plates at the same time, if you spend too much time spinning one plate, you will never spin the others and balance lies in spinning all plates evenly at once.
Your Strength lies in not neglecting your weaknesses and the key to higher levels of fitness/ performance and aesthetic appeal lies in spending time working on the weaknesses while continuing to work on the strengths
